Sandra Funes is originally from Sant Hipòlit de Voltregà, where she grew up until she moved to Barcelona to study at the university.
After graduating in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Barcelona and obtaining her master’s degrees in Line Producing and Film Business at ESCAC, Sandra gained experience in the industry in various production branches.
She started at Pijama Studio in 2020 as a producer at the post-production studio, where she worked on advertising projects for brands such as Danone, Seat, and Bankinter, as well as music videos for various artists. After that, she continued as a post-production coordinator at another studio, Only Postproduction.
In 2021, she decided to delve into film production and joined Arcadia Motion Pictures as a production assistant, where she worked with renowned directors such as Rodrigo Sorogoyen («As Bestas»), Celia Rico («Los pequeños amores»), Pablo Berger («Robot Dreams»), Laura Mañá («Un novio para mi mujer»), and Marcel Barrena («Mediterráneo»).
She then made a transition to television and became part of the production team for TV3 programs «Planta Baixa» and «Col·lapse,» working with the production company La Manchester. Currently, she is an executive producer at the emerging fiction production company NightWalk Films, developing short film and feature film projects.
Parallel to these work experiences, Sandra has worked as an executive producer on short films such as «El Principi» by Albert Blay (winner of the Best Short Film award at FesOh!curt Festival de Nules) and «Fins on t’arribi el braç» by Robert Molist (Produced by Arcadia Motion Pictures, premiered at the Official Section of the Filmets Festival in Badalona), as well as being part of the production team for music videos such as «Desembre» by La Ludwig Band, «Thought Many Times» by LABI, and «Estrella del Pop» by Al·lèrgiques al Pol·len.
